Pupil Premium Information

At Kings Hill School our ethos, ‘Inspired to Believe, Inspired to Achieve’, is at the forefront of everything we do.

Along with our committed governing body, the staff at Kings Hill School work tirelessly to guarantee all children, regardless of their background, flourish in a nurturing environment where they can grow and develop socially, emotionally, academically and spiritually; resulting in their being ready for their journey onto secondary school and beyond into adulthood.

Our values underpin our ethos for all children and our strategy for pupil premium;

What is Pupil Premium Funding?

The Pupil Premium is a sum of money given to schools each year by the Government to improve the attainment of disadvantaged children. It is intended to directly benefit the children who are eligible, helping to narrow the gap between them and their classmates. The Government believes this is the best way of tackling the inequalities between disadvantaged pupils and their peers.

Schools are given a pupil premium for:

  • Children who have qualified for free school meals at any point in the past six years. The school receives £1455 for each of these children.
  • Children who have been looked after under local authority care for more than one day, or children of parents who are service personnel. These children are awarded a premium of £1805.

At Kings Hill School, approximately 12% of our current intake receive Pupil Premium Funding.
