Music Development Plan

Our Music Development Plan sets out our vision for high-quality music education and outlines how we ensure every child has the opportunity to develop their musical knowledge, skills, and appreciation. The plan identifies our priorities for improving music provision, including curriculum development, enrichment opportunities, performance experiences, and staff professional development.

The plan is reviewed and updated annually as part of our school improvement cycle. Its priorities are informed by ongoing self-evaluation, pupil voice, staff feedback, national guidance, and current educational research.

Throughout the year, we regularly evaluate the impact of our actions through monitoring, assessment, participation rates, and feedback from pupils, staff, and the wider school community. This ensures our music provision continues to evolve and provides an ambitious, inclusive, and inspiring musical education for every child.
