Claire Bermingham
I am a parent governor within the school governing body and have one child in Kings Hill School at present. My career background is in Health and Safety and Management System Quality Auditing. This allows me to apply my skills of risk management and management system review to the role of school governor in various areas. Currently, I am focussed on Health and Safety, SEN and Equality within the school.

I am a Chair of Governors and am part of Quality of Education monitoring pair, Chair of the Headteacher Appraisal Committee and Whistleblowing Governor. I currently work at Ightham Primary School as SEND Administrator as well as previously worked as a Teaching Assistant. Before working in education, I was an IT Business Systems Integration Manager.

I am a parent governor within the school governing body and have two children in Kings Hill School. My career background is in the Lloyd's Insurance Market as both a Reinsurance Buyer and latterly a Regulator. This allows me to apply my financial review and process auditing skills to the role of school governor in various areas. I am focussed on Teaching and Learning monitoring within the school.

I am a co-opted governor within the Governing Body. I have worked in education for the past 19 years, initially training as an English teacher before moving into Teacher Education. Currently, I am Curriculum Head in a Further Education college where I lead and manage five curriculum areas. Prior to working in Education, I had a career in Banking.

I have been Headteacher at Kings Hill Primary School since 2015 and I am responsible for the overall effectiveness and quality of education. I initially started my teaching career in the London Borough of Greenwich in 2001 and I have held various leadership positions before starting at Kings Hill, both as a Deputy Headteacher and a Headteacher. I have also been a Kent Leader of Education since 2017 and a contracted Ofsted Inspector since 2021. Â
Kings Hill is a unique and vibrant school and staff work tirelessly to continually improve the school and ensure the very best for every pupil. I am particularly proud that we have opened a Nursery in 2020 and now also provide education for the youngest pupils in our community. I am also proud of our strong reading culture which is essential for children to be successful learners. Â

I have been a COO across public and private sectors for many years now, that work includes risk, finance, people, transformational change and IT. My daughter just started Reception this year.

I'm a co-opted governor currently  a member of the finance and resources committee. For the last 20 years  I've held leadership roles mostly in the media and advertising industry specialising in HR and talent transformation. I'm married, have 3 children, 2 of whom currently attend KHS, and have lived in the Kings Hill area for the last 7 years. Â

Sue Nicholson
I am a co-opted governor, with 35 years' experience of teaching and leadership in primary schools. I have taught Years R-6, was a headteacher for 20 years, Executive Headteacher and Director of Education with a small trust, before retiring in 2021. My passion is striving for all pupils to maximise their life opportunities through a broad and appropriate curriculum. Â
I have lived on Kings Hill since 1997, with my younger daughter attending Kings Hill Primary as it opened, and now three grandchildren currently attend the school. Â

In my professional life, I have a wide range of experience across different industries and running my own businesses, with most of the last 20+ years focused on commercial roles.

I've been a staff member at KHS for almost 20 years and took on the role of staff governor almost three years ago. During my time here I've worked in most year groups across the school, and have been involved in most aspects of school life expected of a staff member and parent of two girls who attended the school.

I am the nominated Local Authority Governor and support  the Curriculum and Learning Committee, contributing to subject monitoring, in addition to safeguarding monitoring. Â
Now retired, my background as an HR Director was to support strategy, people development and engagement, mainly across the public sector of the UK and private sector in the middle east.
